Your best Christmas ever?

Would you like to tell us about your most wonderful Christmas celebration?

I don't think there was ever really that one single best Christmas for me.
In general, all the Christmases in my childhood were wonderful.

It was always a magical time. Everywhere was beautifully lit, and the air was filled with the delicious scent of oranges, cinnamon, and baked treats, and somehow everything felt magical.
Every year on Christmas Eve, we had a delicious meal, and afterward my brother and I came up with tricks to finally outsmart the Christ Child so we could see him when he brought the presents. (Unfortunately, it didn't work. The Christ Child was smarter than we were.)
We then spent the two Christmas days with my parents' families. We saw the whole gang there. All the (great-)grandmas, (great-)grandpas, uncles, aunts, cousins... It was wonderful!

Now, as an adult, I've realized that the magic really only came from the fact that my parents made everything so magical. I'm doing my best to make Christmas just as wonderful now :)

Yes, that’s how it is for me, too. Every Christmas has been special in its own way.

For me, December 24 is a very special day that I spend with family and sometimes with friends.

  I’ve carried on many traditions from my childhood with my own children and now with my grandchild. So our Christmas celebrations are actually very similar every year. There have been small changes due to partners joining the family.

Every Christmas has been special.....
