Dear Akela,
you have to make sure to praise your husband often so he keeps baking such delicious cookies. My first batch of cookies was enjoyed yesterday on the first Sunday of Advent. Take a look... they’re a little hidden. The pyramid was supposed to go in the middle of the table, so there wasn’t room for an extra plate. That’s why I arranged the treats all around it.

Oh, how delicious!

I want to bake “Weihnachtsbredle” with a friend next Saturday, as we call them here in the Black Forest! :) 

We already got a pack from the bakery... They were super delicious too. But homemade ones are always better, of course :)

Oh, how I envy you all. I haven’t gotten the urge to bake cookies yet this year. Inge, you can lend your hubby to the rest of us here. Some of us could really use him.

Everything looks sooo delicious at your place, and Ina’s place looks so cozy. I’d love to be sitting there with you right now and sneak a little taste of those treats.

Marlies, my husband loves everything I cook and bake. That’s not the problem. Buuut—today I finally got around to baking the sheet gingerbread. It just came out of the oven, and the chocolate glaze still needs to dry. After dinner, we’ll have one or two pieces for dessert. I’m already looking forward to it!

I’ll be making cookies in the next few days, too. Now that I’ve gotten started.
