You can knit this cozy, soft loop scarf from leftover yarn or a single skein of yarn. It features a pretty knit-and-purl pattern that creates a fluffy effect. The size can also be adjusted to fit the whole family. The measurements in the pattern are perfect for adults.

Even a round neck like this, which keeps your shoulders warm, can be knitted from a single skein. It looks great under a loose-fitting neckline or even as a substitute for a scarf. Very easy to follow.

These wrist warmers with a mock cable pattern can also be knitted from a single skein of fine yarn. The cable consists of knit and purl stitches.

I’ve whipped up the following items using just one ball of yarn each. Maybe this will give you an idea, too. You’re sure to have individual balls of yarn in your leftovers basket. For more pictures, information, and the pattern, please just click on the headings.

Warm regards from Ina

Santa Claus even comes to the dollhouse!
With one skein of red cotton yarn and a little fluffy yarn, you can turn Barbie’s friend into a real Santa Claus with glasses and a beard:

In the pattern, you’ll also find instructions on how to make the boots for him.
Here is the crochet pattern for the Santa Claus costume for small dolls!

One skein of sock yarn in Christmas colors and a little fluffy yarn are enough to crochet such a beautiful little gift bag. It’s perfect to work on while watching TV, because you don’t have to count anything or pay attention to color changes or increases.

One ball of yarn is often enough for small children’s hats. Like this bonnet in size 0–12 months

A single skein is also enough for a crocheted headband in adult size using the measurements I’ve provided. The size can be easily adjusted to fit individual needs.

You can crochet these two loops using one skein in each color. The motifs are really fun to crochet—and even more fun to give as gifts, of course :-)

Both patterns are also available in my shop as doubleface knitting patterns.
