These little fir trees can be used in all sorts of ways as Christmas decorations, because you can crochet them in any size you like.
They can be covered in snow:
They are hollow inside
and can be decorated with beads and glitter:
So use them

as egg cozies,
small Christmas trees, e.g., in a dollhouse,
as an Advent calendar
or as a winter forest.

Have fun crocheting and decorating!

The “Quick Angel” for anyone short on time. You can quickly crochet a little angel like this from a few leftovers of yarn. It makes for cute gift tags or tree ornaments to give as presents.

With crocheted tea light holders, you can create a festively set table with very little effort. For one of these star-shaped tea light holders, you only need about 10 g of cotton yarn. I used Catania Glamour here, which is interwoven with a glittery thread. It shimmers especially beautifully when the LED light (please don’t use real candles!) is turned on.

If you like giving handmade gifts, then maybe you’d like to make the packaging for your gifts yourself too?
In that case, I have a few suggestions for you:

For something very small, this bag is perfect.

This bag has a little room for chocolates or a few cookies.

This explosion box is also handy for giving sweets.

A child is sure to be happy about a gift in this bag. There’s room inside for a small toy.

This bag with Santa is also perfect for a child’s gift.

In this little sack, you can nicely give small scarves, gloves, or socks.

This little Christmas tree is just as suitable for something small.

In this star, both sweets and small textiles can be wrapped up beautifully as gifts.

Have you decided on one or even several patterns? Then I hope you have lots of fun crafting!

Handmade items make great Christmas gifts, and wrist warmers are quick to knit as a little extra.

The Diamond wrist warmers are knitted using a simple lace pattern:

The Sofia reversible wrist warmers can even be worn either way, since they’re knitted with a pattern of knit and purl stitches.

The hanging crochet star decoration is very easy and quick to crochet, even for beginners with a little practice, using leftover yarn. You can use the star to decorate doors, walls, and windows.

The star looks great in many colors and can easily be decorated in many different ways, entirely in your own personal style. A few decoration examples:

Difficulty level: easy, also suitable for beginners with a little practice

You can get the crochet pattern for the star decoration hanger here

The poinsettia adds a fresh pop of color during the dark season and can be used in many ways for decoration, e.g. on a table arrangement, a door wreath, or as gift decoration.

By the way, this poinsettia stays beautiful permanently—even if you don’t have a green thumb.

Difficulty level: easy to intermediate, suitable for ambitious beginners with practice

You can find the crochet pattern for the poinsettia here

If you’re already looking for winter decorations, these might be just the thing: They’re perfect for the Christmas season, but can also decorate your home beyond the holidays.

These interlocking snowflakes require a bit of patience and dexterity, but they’re easy enough to make and look beautiful.

This snowflake makes your tea light shine even brighter.

This little illuminated fir tree brings the beauty of a snow-covered winter forest right into your home.

This delicate table lamp also makes dark winter evenings much brighter and cozier.

All of the featured items are made primarily from photo cardstock.
