We can all tell you’re soaking up your new home with every fiber of your being. That’s exactly how it should be! You’re meant to be happy here for the rest of your life. It’s wonderful that you’re letting us share in your views of your new home. What touched me most was the flower arrangement from your mom. Oh, how lovely. It means so much to your parents that they have you back and can hold you close again. You’ve done everything right! Returning to your roots after a long journey abroad—it’s like coming home after a very, very long trip.

Because you’re seeing everything with fresh eyes, the sun seems to be shining so long this October, bathing everything in a golden light. All just for you! Thank you for the beautiful photos and for letting us get a little glimpse into your new life.

It’s true, Marlies—that’s exactly how I walk around here, seeing how much has changed for the better, as well as for the worse. Anyway, it’s interesting.

Dear Andrea,

I, too, want to say thank you for sharing so many glimpses of your return home with us. It seems like the blue sky moved here with you. Some of the photos really remind me of Norway, and I actually had to look twice.

We live in the countryside surrounded by so much nature, and I’d miss that in the city. But the most important thing for everyone is to feel comfortable wherever you are. And now you have something that makes you especially happy. You can visit your family anytime and hug them. How wonderful! You’ve missed that for long enough.

Enjoy this time now. Christmas is coming soon, and I’m sure you’ll celebrate it with extra joy and appreciation this year.
