I haven’t even started thinking about Christmas gifts yet, let alone found the time, because I still have a few birthdays to take care of first.

Best wishes, Inge

Christmas is love, warmth, and cozy family togetherness. Is there a better gift than these wintry house socks and hand-warming fingerless gloves?

Oh yes, that’s true, Christmas Eve is only four months away :-) Anyone who wants to give lots of handmade items as gifts can start planning now. My gift suggestions are for a child, the man you love, and a dear friend.

Crochet pattern for the “Winter Dream” cowl - the cute cowl with little bear Tobi in a winter landscape is crocheted with two colors using the tapestry technique. This is explained in great detail and is easy to learn.

Knitting pattern “Fashion Grump Hat” - this double-face knitted hat is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want an eye-catching pattern but still wants a very special hat. The double-face knitting technique makes the hat nice and dense, and it looks great from both sides.

Knitting pattern for an “E-reader” protective cover - with this protective cover, you can bring great joy to someone dear to you! The cover is very decorative and protects the e-reader. The cover is knitted in double-face, so it can also be turned over and used from the other side.

Often, it’s just supposed to be a little something.......

Crochet pattern for a headband - can be adjusted in size to fit any head circumference

This crocheted headband is also completely customizable in size. You should know single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet stitches.

Or would you prefer something knitted? Then a small triangular shawl to drape over your shoulders is also ideal. In the pattern, you’ll find a knitting chart and a written explanation of the pattern.

But Christmas always seems to come so suddenly. :-)

Not for me, Josefa—I don’t start thinking about Christmas until after St. Nicholas Day at the earliest, and then there’s still plenty of time, because I stopped years ago with all that crazy Christmas consumerism—that’s not what Christmas is about. Everyone gets just a little something; we don’t spend more than 20 or 30€ per person. The kids’ parents are responsible for the big gifts; what’s important to us is that they realize we’re thinking of them and have put some thought into it. With 5 grandchildren, 3 daughters, and their partners, it all adds up to a good sum. It’s more important to me to finally see my loved ones again at Christmas and give them a hug than to hand out big gifts, because for the last two years, my husband and I have been home alone for Christmas.

Love, Inge

With this little table lamp, your loved ones will enjoy a warm and cozy atmosphere even after Christmas.

The lamp is made of photo cardstock and tracing paper, measures approximately 10 x 7.5 x 10 cm, and is designed for use with LED lights only. With a little crafting experience—especially experience cutting with a craft knife—it’s very easy to make.

That’s a great attitude, Inge.

Christmas will be quiet at our house. Especially during the coronavirus period. If the numbers rise even more, we’ll be staying among ourselves.

I still have a few suggestions

For cool evenings, a triangular shawl
Triangular shawl

Or a small runner

Table runner

For a doll child, a pretty sweater

Tools for little children’s hands

Feel free to have a look around my shop. There is much more to see

Have fun browsing

For big or little doll moms or dads, the best gift is ... doll clothes! It’s such a lovely thing to dress the doll (or the teddy bear) in something new. And colorful leftover yarn is plenty for that. Here are a few designs (of many) that are sure to make great gifts.

The overalls for dolls measuring 43-50 cm - knitting pattern

The matching raglan sweater - description for various sizes - knitting pattern

If you prefer to crochet, there are options for that too. Here’s an easy-to-crochet diaper for dolls measuring 43-50 cm  The doll baby will definitely need several of these.

A crocheted sleeping bag that fits in the doll stroller - for dolls up to 50 cm tall. Of course, teddy bears or other favorite stuffed animals fit in here too.

This explosion box is the perfect Christmas gift for people who already have everything. Filled with chocolates, a tea light holder, and heartfelt Christmas greetings, it’s sure to be received with joy.

This box is made of photo cardstock, decorated with patterned paper (which you’ll receive as a digital file), and measures approximately 10 x 10 x 10 cm. The two drawer boxes each measure approximately 9.8 x 5 x 9.5 cm, and the tea light holder card measures approximately 9.8 x 9.8 cm.

Well, what handmade things would I give as gifts? Here are my suggestions for you. All of them have been given by me to family and friends. The gifts were very well received. And some people now order them from me again so they can give them as gifts themselves. I hope you enjoy looking through them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Something that always works is felted shoes. These are the coziest house slippers you can imagine. They keep you warm without making your feet sweat. They cushion your step because they are so wonderfully soft. And they don't pinch and adapt to every foot shape. You can make them in different styles and in all sizes and favorite colors. We knit them; the washing machine does the felting. Here is my selection of felted shoe styles:

Felted boots with roll collar

Felted moccasins

One-Step felted booties

Felted shoes made from leftover felting wool with leather soles

Princess bed with bedding, pillow, rug

The Ice Princess's Coat

Dreamy princess dress in different variations

Doll clothes - 3-piece set consisting of skirt, top, and bolero

What would I give to the ladies in our family or to my best friend? Here are my suggestions for you:

Cardigan with shawl collar

Scarf made from cashmere yarn with pearl lace edging

Universal loop scarf for the whole family

Wrist warmers with a decorative cable

Craft bucket - for everyone who loves crafts, given filled with yarn, a dream

This explosion box also has room for candy or other small gifts. It also includes a card that opens in a spiral and offers plenty of space for Christmas greetings or photos.

The explosion box is made of photo cardstock, decorated with patterned paper (which is included as a digital file), and measures approximately 12.5 x 9.5 x 14.5 cm. The small inner compartments measure approximately 9 x 6 x 7 cm. With a little crafting experience, the box is quick and easy to make.

Just a little something, but made with lots of love: everyone is sure to be delighted by this decorative tea light holder: neighbors, friends, relatives...

The Nikolausi-Osterhasi reversible doll is a fun decoration idea and can also be used at Easter. (My grandchildren always have fun turning it over to the “wrong” side)

Especially during the Christmas season, people love giving angels as gifts. This cute little angel is also a guardian angel and nightlight and brings comfort to anyone who doesn’t like falling asleep in the dark.

For me this year, “less is more” is also at the forefront, while at the same time there are many people I’d like to give a small gift with a personal touch.

With these two crochet patterns, you can make personal Christmas gifts without much effort, while also keeping sustainability in mind.

With this combined crochet and craft pattern for homemade candles, you can use old candle remnants and tin cans.

Here’s the pattern

And the keychain lanyard is a great way to use lots of leftover yarn.

  Here’s the pattern

Have fun crocheting and giving gifts :)

For someone who enjoys decorating their home, Christmas decorations also make a very welcome gift: there’s always a little spot somewhere for a tealight holder.

This tealight holder is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 18 x 2.5 x 18 cm. With a little crafting experience and practice cutting with a craft knife, it is very easy to make.
