Crafting on Vacation + Buying Yarn on Vacation

Dear users, dear authors,
How do you handle doing crafts on vacation and buying yarn on vacation? Would you like to share your experiences?

My family laughs whenever we go on vacation. I always bring way too much yarn, but I want to be prepared for every mood. When we drive, that’s not a problem, but when we fly, I’d rather bring fewer shoes and plenty of yarn.

I always have something to crochet or knit in my purse. We might stop for a break somewhere, or I might have to wait until everyone’s finished looking around, so I can pass the time in a nice little corner. 

That’s how I’ve ended up with quite a few shawls and other handmade projects at home, and whenever I look at them or use them, I’m always reminded of the wonderful times, moments, and places from our vacations where they were created.
