We're making progress

The boxes are slowly piling up.
They’re now lined up in rows of two. We still have a month to go

that already looks like a lot of work accomplished. With every item, you have to decide: take it with you, give it away, or throw it out. That way, with every box, you have time to realize that you’re really moving. Things are moving in the right direction. It’s a good feeling now, isn’t it?

Wow, you’ve already gotten quite a bit done, Andrea. The rest is a piece of cake now, right? Especially since you won’t have to work much longer and will have more time for the final push. A month isn’t that long anymore—I’m really looking forward to it. I wish you all a stress-free move back home.

That’s true. I think the anticipation outweighs the packing.

Homesickness, looking forward to seeing my family, finally getting back home, being able to speak German again, visiting my friends, drinking cappuccino together, and talking about the good old days—oh, it’s going to be so nice.

Time is flying by pretty fast now. Before we know it, the day will be here.
Of course, I’ll keep you posted.

It’s just a shame that most of my yarn and craft supplies are already packed, and I only have scraps left for my projects. That just makes me look forward to later even more.

Yes, Gabi, everything is numbered and listed. We’ll need that list for customs anyway.

I’m happy for you, Andrea. I’ve had to move so many times in my life and let go of so much that I’m all the more delighted to have lived in the same town and on the same street for 21 years now. That’s an absolute record for me. But I’ve never lived abroad before. In any case, I wish you a joyful arrival. Just enjoy the beautiful nature in Norway for now and take a few farewell photos. You won’t be able to do that later.
