I just don’t post as much because I have to use the on-screen keyboard and touchpad.
My keyboard and mouse are broken.
Voice input isn’t my thing.

I’m still here, too. But since there’s been some turmoil, I don’t stop by as often and mostly just read along now.

I’m back here again, too....
Depending on how my health is, I’m either actively posting or just “reading along”....
  I’ve had a pretty “time-consuming” dog since 2019. … She needs a crazy amount of training and has already tested my patience quite a bit. I’ve never had such a “crazy” dog 🐕.
But I’m slowly finding time again to browse around here on Crazy and even work on one or two patterns…

How are the silent readers doing today?

Thanks for asking—I’m on my first vacation in two years and am really enjoying it with lots of knitting, watching movies, eating ice cream, and getting plenty of sleep.

I hadn’t even realized how exhausted I’d been, but now I’m really catching up on my sleep.

Hmm, I used to be here on the forum much more often and really enjoyed it. But when I had my first MS flare-up a year ago, I couldn’t even use a toothbrush anymore—let alone do any crafts—so I withdrew from the world of crafts and social media. I deleted my accounts from various other shop sites, but I’ve remained loyal to CP. One year later: I, Schwarzwälder Kampfkuh, have managed—with the support of my family and my fighting spirit—to pull myself back up to the point where I’m even here more often now, and I only use my tablet for cognitive training, not constantly fiddling with other things on it. I’m also catching myself doing crafts more often again, which is a very good sign. I just can’t follow patterns yet—that’s still too overwhelming for me. There are a few things I still need to practice, but I’m taking it easy—that’s the only way I’ll keep moving forward. Over the last 14 days, I’ve made a wonderful amount of positive progress again, and I’m getting closer and closer to my goal of creating my own patterns.

It took me a long time to get to this point. But I’m proud to have made it—to show MS that it doesn’t have it easy with me.

I learned this at home—to pick myself back up or make the best of things. That’s why I call myself the “Black Forest Fighting Cow” or, these days, the “MS Warrior.” Though I like “Fighting Cow” better :-))) 

I think “Kampfkuh” is great.

I’ve been reading along from time to time, but I rarely have time to write, let alone do any crafts. Yesterday, for the first time in a long while, I picked up my knitted cardigan again—the one I started last year. I’m trying to be more active again. 

I’d love it if you’d start posting more often again.

Unfortunately, I’ve been very quiet this year, too. Too much is going on in my life, and there’s no end in sight right now. I haven’t been able to get any crocheting done at all, and I hope everything will be over by the end of the year.

Then I’ll be back in full force. Until then, have a wonderful time, everyone ❤️

I’m back here again today. I was sick and feeling really bad, both physically and mentally. It’s been two weeks since my surgery, and things are looking up now. But now my thumb is acting up, so I’m taking a forced break. *hmpf* That’s why I’m back here again to pass the time. 

It’s great to see things looking up again.

I had a moment of success, but unfortunately received some bad news on the same day: a terrible neighbor is moving in next door. He used to live here before, and now he’s coming back with his wife and kids—and my peace and quiet is over. He’s loud and he smokes, and the houses here are so close together that I won’t be able to escape him. I can feel my quality of life slipping away. Phew
Always these external challenges…

My thumb is doing a little better: while cleaning, I tipped over to the side from a squatting position and landed right on my finger. It cracked, and I thought it was broken, but apparently I popped it back into place or something. Life hack: if something isn’t working, just flatten it with your butt! ;-)

It’s so sweet how much effort you’re putting into reaching out to the silent readers. Well, you’ve definitely brought me “back on board” with this. 🥳

I jumped right into the game, too—gave my brain a little workout first thing in the morning.

There are a lot of people here who read along but never say anything.
That’s really a shame.

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Sometimes you can’t think of anything to write, or you worry it’ll sound trivial, so you’d rather not write anything at all.

Okay, the next person who reads my post, please just write “PIEP” as a sign of life. 🐦

(I always do this with a dear friend. We often think of each other but don’t know what to write, so we “beep” each other—and then we’re happy to know someone’s thinking of us.)

I’ve become very quiet due to time constraints. I have my group with nearly 10,000 members on Facebook, and I’ve limited posts there too because otherwise I simply don’t have enough time to manage the work. 
I only read along here sporadically now. 
Otherwise, everything is fine.

I’m not on Facebook—I never even started.
But I did join Twitter during the pandemic. I heard Facebook is supposed to be renamed, and people on Twitter were speculating about what it might be called. Someone wrote “Danish Bedding Store”—since the name is now available—which I thought was pretty funny. 😁
I like to relax in the evenings by browsing Pinterest a bit. And I’m always happy when I find your projects there.

Ruth, how do I find you guys?? And as a non-author, can I even follow you there? Is this a blog? 

Anja, I sent you something via private message since I’m not sure if it’s allowed to post the link here. Hope you find it. I also browse Pinterest in the evenings sometimes, looking at pretty pictures to take my mind off things. Just looking and enjoying them. Or to get inspired. That’s how I came up with my many pumpkins. Often, when I click on the pictures, I end up here on CP.

I also get a lot of baking ideas from there.

Are you doing okay?

Yeah, everything’s fine. I switched to “winter mode” over the weekend and started knitting a hat.

And today I started my Christmas crafts. Baking stollen is on the agenda for this week.

Maybe I’m already in Christmas mode? 😂

Aside from the onset of winter fatigue, I’m doing quite well.

I’ll probably bake cookies in the air fryer, since my stove isn’t hooked up—finding an electrician or any kind of handyman right now is a nightmare.
We’ve already gotten a two-burner hot plate so we can at least cook a little.

So, are almost all of you busy baking?

No, Josefa, I haven’t started baking yet. That’ll have to wait a bit.
After a few—sometimes serious—problems, I’m glad to be back with the CP family.
A surprise birthday invitation threw my plans off a bit, but I hope I can now get back to my projects.

Have you been singing Christmas carols?

Haha, not me, but my sweetheart can’t help himself and sings along every now and then. We play songs in the background every day—mostly Disney Christmas carols. Then I can sit on the sofa and dream about the next time I’ll get to go back to Disneyland during the Christmas season. 



The last time we went was in 2017... I’m longing to go back.
