I wish you all, despite the gloomy weather. It’s raining here, too—overcast and hazy.

Here in Norway, today is Nasjonaldag, the National Day.
On this day, Norwegians commemorate the signing of the 1814 Constitution. That was the day the new constitution was adopted. Full independence followed in 1905, along with domestic political freedoms.

But since C... everything has been more distant.

Dear Andrea, now we know that Norway is celebrating today. But I guess that doesn’t make much of a difference compared to the other days right now. Still, just enjoy the day! You have some lovely new yarn and lots of ideas, so you’ll get through this gloomy weather just fine. Things are generally getting better, and soon you’ll be able to crochet outside on the patio in the sun again.

Dear Andrea, I wish you a pleasant week as well. Thanks for the little detour into Norwegian history. I didn’t know that before.

We’re having April weather here too, with temperatures only around 15 degrees—it feels even colder. There are rain showers passing through, and it’s stormy. Normally by May we’ve already been spending plenty of time outdoors. Oh well—with wool and knitting needles, we’re perfectly equipped to make ourselves comfortable and watch the weather outside.

Despite the lousy weather, I hope you have a wonderful holiday, dear Andrea.

You’re all so kind to me. We’ll make the best of it. Thank you

Dear Andrea,
maybe it’ll cheer you up to hear that we’re having April weather and it’s only 12 degrees—in southern Germany! We keep getting heavy showers, and even some hail mixed in. Some of the fields are already flooded.

For me, that means I have plenty of time to work on the computer and make myself comfortable at home.
