Hi everyone,
I did it. You all got me so excited that I ordered yarn and other things again too.
My little package arrived today, yay. There it was, that long-awaited feeling of joy.

It was only a trial purchase for now because I don’t know this yarn yet, so that’s why it’s such a small amount. Let’s see what I make with it.
I now have this long crochet hook and new acrylic knitting needles. Already tried them out—they work great. A few joint discs for my amigurumi.

It definitely makes me want more yarn.

Best regards

I believe you when you say you were happy about this package. You picked out some great colors. I especially like the two colorful ones. What are you planning to do with the long crochet hook?

I’m curious to see what wonderful things you’ll create with it.

Good morning, Andrea.

Yes, it’s a wonderful feeling of joy when the new yarn finally arrives. You’ve chosen some really beautiful colors—they go together perfectly.

I hope you have lots of fun with your new knitting needles. Now you can really get started—there’s even a Tunisian hook in the set. I’m sure you’ll show us a new project soon.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Andrea, or rather, good afternoon...

I can totally relate to that feeling of joy when new yarn arrives along with a bunch of needles. I really should buy some new ones myself—I keep putting it off, since the “old” ones still work... I really like your yarn—pastel colors. I’m excited to see the projects you’ll create with it.

Warm regards

Andrea, I’m thrilled and can feel your happiness all the way here in southern Germany. Now you know what you’ve been missing for sooo long. I felt the same way just recently.

You’ve picked out beautiful colors—I like them, too. I really like the pastel shades. And the colorful yarn looks a lot like the one I used for the doll clothes and my cardigan. I’m already looking forward to everything you’ll be showing us soon.

I hope you have soooo much fun with it! And I hope the yarn has lots more “babies” soon.

Dear Andrea, congratulations on your purchase! Such beautiful sorbet colors :-) and great new tools, too. That makes crafting even more fun. If the yarns win you over as you work with them, maybe you’ll end up with even more of them someday. I hope you enjoy your new treasures.

Warm regards—Ina

Andrea, I’m happy for you, too! I think the colors you picked out are beautiful, and I’m excited to see what you’ll make with them. I’ve decided to only buy or restock yarn for specific projects from now on. Especially when it comes to pot holder yarn, I have to make some compromises because I want to use up my stash, and it doesn’t always include the colors I’m currently craving.

Many, many thanks for your feedback.

I’ve already tried out/crocheted with the pastel yarn. It’s 100% acrylic, after all. The colors glow beautifully.
It’s going to be another Tunisian/entrelac crocheted piece with this long hook.

Knitting with this acrylic yarn isn’t really my thing after all; you do have to be careful because the strand splits quickly, and it feels so “fuzzy.”

So I’d rather use this colorful 51% acrylic / 49% cotton; it feels smoother. It has 250 m per 100 g yardage. But I haven’t tried it yet.

Monika, what yardage/weight did you use for your doll clothes? At some point my Krümel will need new knitted clothes too, but I don’t dare tackle that yet.

After such a long time, I really wanted to own some new knitting needles, and in red too. I was still missing the long 120 mm circular knitting needle, because I need it if I ever want to crochet Ina’s cardigan.
I still had these old gray and metal circular knitting needles from my mom. It was time for some new ones. These needles are a bit flexible at the tips, so not so hard, which was a pleasant surprise. They knit beautifully.
At last I can use my needle gauge to find out what needle sizes I have there.

So I gave myself a little bit of joy; I needed that when you can’t go anywhere anyway.

Then I hope you all have a lovely weekend
with your craft supplies and so on.

Today there was wonderful sunshine, but it was windy, and toward evening there were heavy thunderstorms and rain,
so there’s no sitting outside. So we’ll make the best of it.

Stay healthy, and best wishes from here

Andrea, I’ve actually used acrylic yarn to knit some of the doll clothes. The new little dress is knitted with 160 m of yarn, and quite a few other things as well. But I’ve also used some with about 120–125 m of yarn—cotton yarn. I prefer cotton or blended yarn with cotton for knitting and crocheting.

I wish you and everyone here a wonderful weekend, too!

Today, for the first time in ages, I went cycling again—at Lake Chiemsee. I was so blown away that I completely forgot to take pictures. With 16 degrees and sunshine, it was a dream. The day somehow went by way too fast. It’s going to be pretty chilly here over the next few days, too—unfortunately. Summer peeked in for a brief moment—and then it was gone again.

Let’s just keep looking forward to the nice days. They’ll definitely be here soon.
In the meantime, we’ll keep ourselves entertained with yarn and needles.

Warm regards to everyone!
