Dear users, dear authors,
how was your Easter?

Honest or polite? To be honest, those were the worst Easter holidays I’ve ever experienced. Aside from the pandemic, which we’re always up to our necks in, I found out on Holy Saturday that my sister is fighting for her life—she has COPD that’s practically in its final stages and needs to be admitted to a specialized clinic if she’s to have any chance at all.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Easter was quiet for me—I went for walks and did some crafts.

Inge, that’s really sad, and you have my full sympathy. Maybe it will comfort you a little to know that better times will come again. That has often helped me in life to keep my spirits up. I wish your sister—and you, too—lots of strength during this time.

We were able to go for a walk in the sunshine over Easter. Today, winter is back, and there are plenty of projects around the house that need attention. Of course, I’m not neglecting my crafts either.

Dear Inge, this is of course a shock—for your sister and the whole family. I wish her a speedy recovery.

My Easter was really nice. Our son, daughter-in-law, and 2½-year-old grandson visited us for two days, and we had a lot of fun together. The little guy has enough energy for three—that really keeps us adults on our toes. The weather was cold, but sunny. So we hunted for Easter eggs and played in the garden.

On Easter Monday, I enjoyed the quiet of the holiday doing my needlework.

We were able to enjoy Easter: First, an early morning service at six, then breakfast at a colleague’s house, an Easter service with Holy Communion at ten (in compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, of course!), lunch with my daughter and her partner, and in the afternoon, a short walk to the duck pond in beautiful weather… On Easter Monday, I took care of some office work and knitted a bit on my DF cuddle blanket.
