New here – when will my first pattern be approved?

We are 2 girls who love knitting and opened our own account here today. I have now uploaded 1 pattern; approximately how long does it take until it is approved , and do you receive an email once it has been approved?

Hi there and welcome! It seems to take forever when you’re waiting, but the patterns are actually approved pretty quickly.
As far as I know, there aren’t any specific timeframes, but if you upload it in the morning, you can be almost certain it’ll be online today—provided there’s no reason not to approve it.

As long as you don’t upload it in the middle of the night or at the weekend (although it’s usually pretty quick then too), it usually doesn’t take long for everything to be approved.
However, even after approval, it may still take a little while for your pattern to be found via the search function. The new information first has to be indexed everywhere. But after that, it’ll work fine.
