Spring Baby Cardigan by Tanja Enzinger

Dear Tanja Enzinger,

​I bought your knitting pattern for the “Spring” baby cardigan and am now having a problem while knitting.
​When it comes to the decreases for the arm and neck, you write it like this: decrease 1x1, 2x1, 4x1. If you look at them one after another, that would be kind of strange—it would actually be 7x1 decreases. So I tried it the other way around, but then I ended up with only 3 stitches left at the
shoulder edge, and I really don’t like that at all. I mean, I must have misunderstood something. Could you please explain the decreases to me again in more detail? Maybe I’m just missing something.

the button has come loose. I've now noticed that I have to take a decrease into account each time.

Did I miss something in the instructions?

Cast on 132 sts — everything is clear up to Row 10. If I start with 2 purl stitches as described and then knit 2, purl 2, I don’t have 2 purl stitches at the end of the row. Do I need to add 2 stitches somewhere?
