Selling Sewn Items

I’d like to sell the items I’ve sewn.
Some patterns state that you’re allowed to sell a limited number of items if you indicate which “manufacturer” you got the sewing pattern from.

So I’m wondering, how do I provide this information? Does it have to be visible on the finished sewn item?

I think it’s best to discuss this directly with the designer.
It also depends on where you plan to sell the items—whether online via, for example, Dawanda or eBay, or at a flea market or craft fair.

Maybe a small note referring to the designer’s store will suffice; perhaps they also have business cards, etc.

The important thing is that you actually include the reference. Unfortunately, I’ve often found that a reference is promised but then, after I’ve agreed to it, it doesn’t actually happen....

If you’re selling online, be sure to include this information in the item description. This might even make your product easier to find, since a buyer might be looking for a shirt from XY—perhaps because they read somewhere that it fits well, or simply because they liked another design example.
You could attach tags to the clothing itself—maybe you already have one that identifies you as the “tailor.” For example: “Made with love by ABC using a sewing pattern by XY.”
