Gift bags

I embroidered and sewed these little gift bags yesterday, and I also embroidered a little Christmas tree in lace

Dear Akela, I especially like the little fir tree. If you stiffen it or spray it with hairspray, it would make a lovely little ornament for the Christmas tree.

I like the gift pouches, too, but I can’t really make out the beautiful embroidered pattern on the patterned background very well. Your grandchildren know which pouch belongs to whom based on the color scheme.

The little tree is self-supporting because when I embroider lace, I place a washable embroidery stabilizer in the hoop; when I wash out the excess stabilizer, it *sticks* the embroidery together so that it holds its shape
