Finally, the weekend: Have fun

Dear users and authors,
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

With an incidence rate of 65.8 in the county and 82.6 in the city, there’s hardly any chance of a nice weekend for us. I was planning to meet up with my daughter and granddaughter to give them the little pig, but we canceled because of the high numbers—and we haven’t scheduled any other meetings for the time being.
I’m going to dive into my fabric bin and see what I can find there, download some sewing patterns, and keep myself busy that way.

We’ll be spending the weekend quietly at home, too. I live right in the middle of a hotspot. But I have plenty of yarn, and I’m planning to go for a walk in the woods. Today is the first time in a long while that it hasn’t been raining here, and it’s much brighter. Maybe the sun will come out a little bit around noon and treat us to some sunshine. 

@Akela, I’m so sorry that you can’t meet up with your loved ones. Not going out to eat, not going to the movies, etc., isn’t that hard. We also really enjoy being at home, but not being able to see the kids and grandkids—that’s a terrible situation. Let’s hope the situation eases up quickly and the numbers start to go down. 

Unfortunately, I’ve only seen my two granddaughters once this year, and they’re changing so fast at this age (1.5 and 4). But better times are coming again.
