Mermaid pillows aren’t just popular with kids—adults love them, too

I don’t mean the mermaid blanket, but this pillow you can sort of “paint” on with your hand, where the color changes when you stroke the pattern with or against the “grain”—I can’t think of a better word right now.

apparently everyone is really into it right now.
Does any of you know whether it’s already available in Germany? Or where you can get fabric like that?
I mean, these things are currently on sale for “only” $149.99.
So I really hope there will be cheaper alternatives soon.
Even if it is fun to draw on them, 150 dollars is still a lot of money for a pillow.

I mean, of course it’s roughly the same thing you can do with a velvet pillow
but a velvet pillow isn’t a mermaid pillow, obviously, right? ;)
Oh, and the comment below also says that the whole thing is “reversible sequin” fabric and definitely doesn’t justify the 150-dollar price tag, but it’s just a trend. And it’s already on Etsy, too

So, what this has to do with mermaids, I don’t know—maybe because it shimmers and stuff?
but as far as I’ve noticed, there are loads of people who like this kind of thing and enjoy playing around with it

I mean, if this is a big thing with the Americans right now
then couldn’t we make it big on CP too? And supply the German market with it?
There are loads of people here who are good at sewing and enjoy it
you could sell them to people as ready-made pillows
a pattern for it isn’t really the right thing, because then you still need the fabric
the fabric is the key point, not the pattern for a completely normal pillow cover
but then again, I’m not a pro either, and sewing isn’t my thing

but maybe you have some ideas about it?
