Animals for a hot summer:

Bully, the little elephant, wants to go swimming! He has already gotten out his little boat, sailor hat, and swim ring, and then he’ll be ready to go!
You can crochet Bully with fluffy yarn (as shown in the picture) or with any other yarn (e.g., acrylic yarn). With the suggested fluffy yarn, he will be 22 cm tall.
Maybe you already have the right materials at home, then you can get started right away.
You’ll need:
- 50 g gray yarn (fluffy yarn or acrylic yarn), e.g., Phil Douce by Phildar or Bravo by Schachenmayr
- White and turquoise cotton yarn, e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr
- Crochet hook no. 3
- Polyester fiberfill
- Sew-on eyes (diameter about 1 cm)
- 1 thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
- 1 long sharp needle (doll needle) for attaching the eyes
- A piece of floral wire, about 7 cm
- Scissors
- Glue

Octopus Oskar also loves the water and likes to lounge on the seabed. Oskar is 38 cm long (including tentacles); his body alone measures 12 cm.
He was crocheted from the leftover yarn of a gradient cake. But you can just as easily use cotton yarn (e.g., Catania).
I used the following materials:
- approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bobbel Dégradé, color 004 (yardage 800 m / 200 g), 4-ply
- approx. 20 g Schachenmayr Catania Fine, white (yardage 165 m / 50 g)
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Craft stuffing
- 6 pieces of pipe cleaner wire, each approx. 15–16 cm long
- 2 black half-pearls (diameter 8 mm)
- Glue
- Yarn needle

Seahorse Hippy glides elegantly through the water. His body sparkles and shimmers in every color.
Hippy measures about 24 cm and is not difficult to crochet.
I used the following materials:
- approx. 30 g Moonlight by Bumbo, color 02 (98% acrylic, 2% polyamide, yardage 462 m/100 g) or another gradient sock yarn
- Leftovers: thin cotton yarn in white and black (Catania Fine)
- Leftover red scrubby yarn (Creative Bubble)
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
- 1 piece of chenille wire, about 35 cm
