With this crochet pattern, you can make a tunic or a little dress with short or long sleeves—and use up leftover cotton yarn in any color :-) Cotton is comfortable to wear in summer and doesn’t itch, even on children’s sensitive skin.

The pattern is written for sizes 98 and 116, but it can easily be adapted to other sizes.

Even with just a few scraps, you can knit this fun “Happy Dog” dishcloth. It’s worked in double-faced knitting, so it looks just as great on both sides. You’ll only need about 15 grams of each of the two main colors and about 5 grams of the other colors.

With just a few colorful cotton scraps, you can quickly and easily crochet cute finger puppets . Preschool and kindergarten kids especially love playing with them, especially since they often can’t hold larger hand puppets properly yet. But even older kids still have a lot of fun with them.

Seppel and Gretel
aren’t just for use as finger puppets. You can also slip a bill into the finger sleeve to creatively wrap your monetary gift for a wedding.

Older children will also enjoy the
two ghosts
too, for example as party favors at a Halloween party.

Animals are always a hit.
hippo, lion, and monkey
can tell funny stories from Africa.

You can crochet these cute gnomes in any size, even from small scraps of leftover cotton yarn. For example, you can use them to make an adorable Advent calendar, or give a little something in such fun packaging. They also look great as egg cozies. Ideal for beginners.

Crochet pattern for a balloon cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted and then sewn together into a ball at the end. This keeps the balloon well protected and gives us a lightweight ball for indoors and outdoors.

You can use lots of colorful cotton leftovers for this tablecloth.

Individual flowers are crocheted and joined together in the final round. This means the shape can be changed again and again, oval or round — you decide as you crochet.

With these dishcloths - potholders - trivets even smaller amounts of yarn can still be crocheted into a row.

The pattern requires knowledge of single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches.
