Which animals are trending right now?

Dear users, dear authors,
How are things going with the trending animals? Are there any new popular animals?

Trends aside, my youngest granddaughter (9) loves polar bears, dolphins, and penguins more than anything, and my second-youngest grandson (just shy of 15) loves owls and giraffes

What’s trendy is whatever people like. My 18-month-old grandson is currently fascinated by firebugs and ants crawling around in my garden. At the animal park, he loves the ducks. None of these are “trendy” animals, but they’re fun for kids.

Here, owls and chickadees (birds in general) are popular.
Bumblebees and butterflies are also popular.

At the zoo, it’s the Kirk dik-diks, as well as penguins and meerkats.

My daughter especially loves birds. Last year, we found a young, featherless sparrow on the ground and raised it. It eventually learned to fly and left us.



Ohhh, I think that sparrow is so cute! The photo is absolutely adorable.

I love birds, too, and I’m always happy to see them hopping around in our garden all year round. That’s why I really enjoy crocheting nests for animals that need to be nursed back to health.
