Illusion Knitting

Dear users, dear designers,
what is illusion knitting, and how does it work?

I had to Google it first... and then I learned that it’s also called shadow knitting, which I’ve seen before in various videos.

It looks great, what they’re showing there!

I won’t be trying it right now, though—maybe someday on a baby blanket or something.

I’m always on the lookout for new challenges. I already have a pattern, and I’ll definitely give it a try at some point—it’s just that right now, I haven’t quite gotten around to it. The garden is calling me to enjoy it (what would I do without it?).
I do knit in the garden, too, but for something completely new—and with a pattern that looks pretty complicated—I’ll have to try it out in my “little nook” first...
