how are your leftover yarns doing?

Just three weeks ago, I gave away three large trash bags full of leftover yarn to a preschool… Yet it’s still getting out of hand… With patterns, it’s hard to work with leftover yarn because you need to know exactly how much yarn you’ve used…

Yes, Perle, that works quite well! You just have to weigh the balls of yarn before and after.

Ruth, I do exactly the same as you, since I often only need a little bit of material.

Since I don’t really have much in stock at home, I’ll try to use up what I have in the near future.
However, my cotton supplies are dwindling pretty quickly—we’ll see if I actually have to order online. I miss my wonderful yarn shop... 

You can do a lot with leftover yarn when you don’t need to know the exact amount… and if you do, just weigh it out. I agree. Anything with stripes is always good for using up scraps or making something small.

This is what becomes of leftover yarn: little socks for my grandchild.

I’m turning my leftover yarn into pieces for the play kitchen :-))) and it’s really fun 

I’ve crocheted quite a bit of it into nests. Since I’m using the yarn four-stranded at the moment, I can already tell that there’s less of it.
