Handcrafting animal nests: Are you still at it?

Dear users, dear authors,
are you still crafting for the animals who desperately need it?
Of course, there are plenty of extra bonus points and karma points for giving away your creations—and for sharing photos, too.

Yes, I work on that now and then on the side. But I usually pass them on next door right away, so I often forget to take pictures. But what’s important is that they end up where they’re needed, not how many pictures I have... 

That’s right :-) You don’t even need pictures.
You’ll still get plenty of bonus points, of course.

I’m still at it. A finished nest is hanging on the line to dry.

So I’m practicing making felted nests. But the emphasis is still on practicing. I’m on my third attempt now—I had to unravel the other two.

Let’s see if this one works out. Felting wool is completely new territory for me.  This is attempt number 2, which I’ve since unraveled, and now I’m crocheting. It’s still exciting.

Since I still have some yarn left that I can crochet with, I’ll probably work on some more nests on the side in March. Right now, I just don’t know where to send them yet. I don’t (yet) have any contacts with suitable wildlife rescue centers nearby.

Yes, every now and then I make a nest to use up my leftover yarn.

I then got a picture back from Peppler of one of the first nests I had sent off. A little wild hare was sitting in it. That made me very happy. 

My drey is finished by now as well
