In November, I finished knitting a few projects, including my first Christmas gifts.

I’ve started December by making good progress on the baby’s jacket. That’s also meant to be a Christmas gift.

I’m pretty happy with November so far.

Right now, I’m knitting my double-faced spiral sock and crocheting a little on my tablecloth.

My November was good. Things at work have calmed down, and I had a few days off last week.
I used that time to put up Christmas decorations and decorate the house. We also spent a lot of time with our grandson.

Then I started working on a new idea for a hat—I’m still working on it. The advantage of kids’ hats is that they don’t require much yarn, so I can use up my leftovers. 

I’m very happy with November. Since I became self-employed in June of this year, the professional obligations I used to have as an employee are gone. And that feels really good. I have more time for what I love—but I also have more responsibility for my income. In any case, everything feels right. My customers like my patterns—what more could I ask for?

This year, I’m especially enjoying the Christmas preparations. I have much more time and leisure for everything. Just a year ago, I was under constant work-related stress in November.

But that doesn’t mean all readers should follow my example. Everyone has to make their own decisions and weigh them carefully.
