Dear users, dear authors,
dear little helpers,
what are you working on right now?

I kicked off November by knitting a pair of leg warmers for myself—I came up with the pattern myself and then knitted them. My right leg is almost 3 cm thicker than my left, but now I have a pair that fits perfectly.

Akela, your wrist warmers are really pretty! That’s the beauty of crafting—you can make everything your own.
I’m still knitting the scarf for my coworker. It’ll probably take a while longer; I don’t have much time to knit this week.

Akela, I like your leg warmers too.

I started November with a few socks for my friend - partly in the car and partly in the evening. They were finished last night after the drive back from a weekend trip.
Of course, they were knitted with the simple mowi heel.

This is what they look like finished.

In addition to my ongoing project—the embroidery—I’m currently sewing doll clothes for my grandchildren. They’re getting “baby dolls from faraway lands” (a Japanese girl and a South American boy) because they want a doll family with children from all over the world (they already have two dark-skinned babies). Now the dolls need to be dressed according to their origins—that is, the girl will get a kimono and the boy a poncho. Once everything is finished, I’ll take a photo.

Thank you for your praise
I have a friend who collects for little stars; today I finally had time to knit a first little hat, and several more will follow. It’s a good way to use up leftover yarn

I’ve finished two little projects (bookmarks):

Now I’m trying to finish my scarf this month.

Akela, I like your wrist warmers, too. Unfortunately, you can’t really make out the pattern in the photo…
And the little hat is so cute! I think it’s especially nice when our passion for knitting or crocheting also serves a good cause!

Right now I’m working flat out on my Christmas gifts for my coworkers: dishcloths or shopping bags. I just finished the second cloth (with an owl motif) while watching TV, and then
I immediately cast on a new one (it’ll have a little pig on it). Now I’m desperately looking for a dog motif…

Marion, I’ve just found a dog motif - take a look here (what a coincidence):

Akela, I really love the second “Mützle”! (I’m curious: In what part of the country do people say “Mützle”?
I think it’s cute!)

Wollbaerli, that’s what people say in the Main Franconian dialect,

Thanks, Akela! I’ve been fascinated by dialect research ever since I was in college.
