My weekend was colorful, cheerful, and bustling. On Saturday, my son celebrated his 30th birthday. We gave him a homemade photo album with pictures from his childhood and a treasure chest of memories. Inside the treasure chest were his first school notebooks, his primer, certificates from the fire department, his “Seepferdchen” swimming badge, his first walking shoes, his favorite little sweater, and children’s books I wrote for him, etc., etc.—truly a treasure chest of memories.
The day after that, his son Oskar celebrated his first birthday. We unwrapped presents with him to cheerful children’s songs, ate sugar-free blueberry cake, and then went to the animal park together. He found everything very exciting—there was so much to look at and pet. The weather was perfect, too. A wonderful day for all of us.
Our children and grandchildren are—and always will be—the most precious gift of all :-)
This week, I’m taking it a bit easier and enjoying the quiet of fall. After a short break, I’ll get back to my crafts. I wish all readers of this thread a wonderful week.
Warm regards—Ina
