Crochet your own underwater world from leftover yarn!
Octopus Oskar was made from a leftover Bobbel:

But of course he can also be crocheted from cotton yarn.
I used:
approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bobbel Dégradé, color 004 (yardage 800 m / 200 g), 4-ply
approx. 20 g Schachenmayr Catania fine, white (yardage 165 m / 50 g)
2.5 mm crochet hook
craft stuffing
6 pieces of pipe cleaner wire, each approx. 15–16 cm long
2 black half pearls (diameter 8 mm)
glue
yarn needle

Oskar's best friend is Hippy the seahorse,

which was crocheted from a very striking gradient yarn: Moonlight by Bumbo. This yarn contains a metallic thread that gives the crocheted piece a beautiful shimmer. (Unfortunately, you can't see it very well in the photo.) 30 g is enough to crochet your own Hippy.
