This small shawl turns out beautifully with a gradient yarn (Schachenmayr Tahiti here).

It is started at the tip and knitted with increases along the sides until it reaches the desired size. I used 150 grams for this shawl.

Here you’ll find the pattern, photos, and yarn suggestions

I knitted this shawl using a Bobbel measuring 840 m / 200 grams. This shawl is also started at the tip, and we finish when the yarn is nearing its end or when we have reached the desired size.

You should be familiar with knit stitches, purl stitches, yarn overs, and increasing/decreasing stitches.

Crochet your own underwater world from leftover yarn!

Octopus Oskar was made from a leftover Bobbel:

But of course he can also be crocheted from cotton yarn.

I used:

approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bobbel Dégradé, color 004 (yardage 800 m / 200 g), 4-ply
approx. 20 g Schachenmayr Catania fine, white (yardage 165 m / 50 g)
2.5 mm crochet hook
craft stuffing
6 pieces of pipe cleaner wire, each approx. 15–16 cm long
2 black half pearls (diameter 8 mm)
glue
yarn needle

You can get the pattern for Oskar here!

Oskar's best friend is Hippy the seahorse,

which was crocheted from a very striking gradient yarn: Moonlight by Bumbo. This yarn contains a metallic thread that gives the crocheted piece a beautiful shimmer. (Unfortunately, you can't see it very well in the photo.) 30 g is enough to crochet your own Hippy.

You can get the crochet pattern for Hippy here!

Have fun making it!

My “Good Mood” Scarf is knitted with a 4-ply Bobbel yarn cake with 1400 m yardage, but it can also easily be adapted to any other yardage.

I also have a project that is ideal for Bobbel, gradient yarn, and effect yarn.
Door / Window Wreath "Flower Wreath"

One click takes you to the pattern
A self-crocheted flower/decorative wreath is a special eye-catcher in any home. A lovely decoration for any door or entryway
suitable for every season.Only a small amount of yarn is needed to make one flower, so they can be crocheted from yarn scraps
. Ideal use of leftovers!
The wreaths shown (without decorative ribbon) measure approx. 20 cm x 17.5 cm.

The “Spicy Autumn” scarf can also be knitted very well with gradient yarn. In the pictures here, it was a Bobbel from 100 Farbspiele.

The pattern is explained row by row and is also shown in a chart.
The Bobbel should be at least 900 m long.

Uwagi, an RVO cardigan with a subtle color gradient and light-colored bands as a contrast.

To achieve an even gradient, I recommend unwinding the last color from the Bobbel and dividing it into 2 equally sized balls for the sleeves.

Gara is a 122 cm x 144 cm x 130 cm asymmetrical triangular shawl with a soft color gradient.
This enhances the shawl’s slightly playful style.
