What’s your current favorite material? What’s your favorite color?

what material do you currently like or work with the most?
Do you have a favorite color right now?

I love crocheting with cotton the most. It’s the best choice for my amigurumis. I really like Schachenmayr’s Catania yarn, especially since it’s now GOTS-certified and therefore meets the European standard for toys. You can’t go wrong with that. Plus, it comes in an endless variety of colors.

As for favorite colors, it really depends on what they’re going to be used for. With amigurumi, the colors are usually pretty much set in stone (a giraffe is yellow, after all, right?).
When it comes to clothes for myself, I regularly fall for turquoise, petrol, and aqua shades.

I also prefer cotton yarn, especially in fall colors or warm shades
of blue. When it comes to fabrics, I love natural, breathable cotton fabrics or pure wool fabrics. I don’t like anything with *plastic* in it because it doesn’t let the skin breathe and, in the truest sense of the word, makes you sweat in your own juices.

Yes, I also love cotton in all its forms, especially in yellow, red, orange, and white.

Now that it’s winter, I really enjoy knitting with merino wool or a good sock yarn.

I prefer to knit with merino yarn. I have more fun crocheting with cotton.

As for colors, I tend to prefer light colors—I think you can see the pattern better that way than with a dark color.

Yesterday I finished a scarf with 30% alpaca; the yarn was so fluffy. It was also a lot of fun. 

Cotton, but I also like merino or alpaca every now and then. It really depends on what kind of project I’m about to start.
