Vicuña Wool: Rare and Expensive

Vicuña wool is apparently the rarest and most expensive wool in the world. Have any of you heard of it or had any experience with it?

Thanks to your post, this is the first time I’ve heard the word “vicuña.” No, I’m not familiar with it and have therefore never worked with it. But I googled it right away and looked it up on Wikipedia: yes, it seems to be a very fine wool. However, I’ve never seen it in a store—and since I always have to feel the wool with my own hands, all I can do is expand my knowledge.

Perhaps someone has seen it in person and can tell us about it.
