Woolly Wednesday: Do you have enough yarn? = trick question

Dear users, dear authors,
Do you have enough yarn, or do you need more?

I confess: I went to buy some yarn today... but not for myself. That was the plan, anyway. My aunt is turning 80 and has invited us to a party. Since she loves to knit socks, I bought her some yarn for those long winter evenings. (my photo)



The sock yarn on top is for my aunt; I picked out the yarn on the bottom for myself. So I gave in after all. 

Of course I have enough yarn—in fact, much more than enough—but I’ll still have to buy a few skeins tomorrow for certain projects. I was actually planning to cut back, but then I saw some leftover skeins of cotton that I can use for Christmas gifts...

For now, I have enough yarn.

That depends on how you look at it: In terms of quantity, I certainly have enough yarn, but I’m always missing the specific kind I have in mind for a project.
By the way, I feel the same way about fabric scraps. It would definitely be enough for patchwork, but for a proper garment???

I’m in the same boat as Ruth—I have enough in terms of quantity, but nothing suitable for larger projects. Since we’ve already mentally prepared ourselves for a move, I’ll use up the leftover yarn as much as possible without having to buy more, and the rest will be donated to the ladies who make items out of it for charity projects.
If I do buy anything after that, it’ll only be specifically for projects I’ll start right away. My gift cards from the yarn shop (I even got another one on my birthday) will have to wait patiently in the drawer for now....

I have more than enough yarn and have decided to stay strong. So no buying yarn or taking advantage of sales. ;-)
