Dear users, dear authors,
the long weekend is over, but this week is going to be wonderful.
It’s time for the awards ceremony / the May edition of the current title highlights.

Taking part in the May final stretch / May awards ceremony: How does it work?
Please copy the section below between the asterisks here in the thread into your text field and fill it in accordingly or check what applies. Of course, you can delete anything that doesn’t apply.

When does it start?
The May awards ceremony will take place around June 4/5. But of course I’ll still add you later, too.

Who can take part in the May awards ceremony?
Every user and every author with an account at Crazypatterns can take part here. Just write a post here in the thread and you’re in. :- )

Men are welcome to take part, too.
The titles here in the thread can, of course, also be awarded to men. Maybe we have a UFO King, a Leftover Champion, or a Shopping King? Equal rights for everyone. :- ) For the sake of completeness:
Of course, I’m also happy to honor you in a gender-neutral way if you wish.

As always, the following also applies to the May awards ceremony: Every step counts.
No one, no user and no author, goes home without an honorary title or without extra karma points. If someone had a very stressful everyday life / many challenges in May, that can also be honored with an honorary title or extra karma points. If necessary, I’ll invent a title that fits the challenges each person has overcome.

Earn extra points / bonus points and boost your karma:
- Of course, there are always extra points for (your own uploaded ) photos. Please do not upload other people’s images.
- Handcrafted items that are given to dear people also earn extra points.
--> please provide details here in the thread.
- Feedback for our authors ( e.g. reviews, comments, etc. ) is also always rewarded with extra points.

Hi,

after nearly 17 months of not buying yarn, I’ve finally bought some yarn again. But I won’t be hoarding it—
I’ll use it right away to make farewell gifts.

Shopping Queen / King in May:
This title is for everyone who enjoys buying yarn / materials and (for now) doesn’t want to stick to a yarn diet / material diet / fabric diet. Photos are always a good idea.
[ x ] In May, I only bought yarn that I urgently needed.
Details: Yarn for the farewell gifts

Best regards, Heike

I’ve gone through it once.
Who’s still missing?
Where did I forget something?

This title is for everyone who loves buying yarn / materials and (for now) doesn’t want to stick to a yarn diet / material diet / fabric diet. Photos are always a good idea.
[ x ] In May, I only bought yarn that I urgently needed.
Details:
For this toilet paper roll hat, I had to (or was allowed to?) buy new yarn.

Hard-Working Little Helper in May
[ x ] I was able to work on—or even finish—many craft projects in May.
I just finished this toilet paper roll hat along with the other projects shown here—though I’m not quite sure yet whether I’ll change anything...

I also crocheted this cuff for a floral gift.

Pattern Optimization Champion + Author’s Hero = Author’s Title
[ x ] I uploaded at least one new pattern in May.
Write down the details here. Links and images allowed.
I newly listed the “Homage to Holland” toilet paper roll hat (see image above) as a pattern, and the felt bag Mia

Saviour of Stubborn Yarn / Stubborn Material, formerly called “Stepchild Yarn Saviour” //
Stepchild Material Saviour in May
[ x ] In May, I used up old, unloved yarn, so I’m a Saviour of Stubborn Yarn / Yarn Saviour; in other words, I gave this yarn a new purpose in life. :- )
Details:
I used up some unloved sock yarn that I’d bought a while back for a bigger project that I then didn’t like...
It turned into a shopping net, a pair of espadrilles and new covers for my worn-out slippers...

Unravel Monster Conqueror in May
[ x ] In May, I partially or completely unraveled a UFO / a project I had started and then still finished it completely / turned it into something lovely / new / great. I am therefore an Unravel Monster Conqueror.
Details:

I had turned the items shown above from the unloved sock yarn into a shoulder warmer and unraveled them again...

I get the impression that the titles really do motivate you, so I’m being generous with them. :-)

Fun-Design has now been honored as well.

Thanks for adding that, Josefa.
I like your award ceremonies :) — it’s just a real shame that not a single man showed up here...

Yeah, that’s right. It motivates me immensely; otherwise, my UFOs would probably be piling up. It’s really fun to participate here and snag a few titles at the end of the month. :) Thanks, Josefa! :)
