Crocheted Balloon Cover

This balloon cover is the ideal toy for indoors and outdoors. The balloon is well protected, and a soft ball won’t cause any damage.

It is crocheted from individual granny squares, which are sewn together at the end. You should have basic knowledge of double crochet, single crochet, and slip stitch. Any yarn is suitable; leftover yarn is a great option too. Personally, I prefer cotton because it washes well and the ball is quickly ready for use again.

Crochet pattern for a granny square.

Granny squares are great to take with you on the go. They’re very versatile—perfect for a blanket, a pillow, or as an appliqué.

This granny square is part of a series where all the squares match in size. This way, you can crochet a large patchwork blanket.

The pattern includes a crochet chart, and the granny square is also explained in written instructions round by round. You should have a basic understanding of single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitches.

Here you’ll find maritime crochet ideas from my shop stjerne61

Smutje’s potholder / Tunisian crochet

You crochet this potholder with an anchor motif in the Tunisian simple stitch.
The pattern includes a practice section for this great crochet technique. The corded edge and a small life preserver as a hanging loop add lovely accents.
It is crocheted with cotton yarn.

Door wreath MOIN / Tunisian crochet

This door wreath is also crocheted in the Tunisian simple stitch, which is explained in the pattern. The making of the decorative knots is also described with pictures.

Door wreath MOIN / classic crochet

Door wreath MOIN is also available in a classic crocheted version with small changes; the lettering is not crocheted directly in here, but the letters are crocheted separately and later attached to the wreath.
Here, too, the pattern describes how to make the knots.

All patterns are beginner-friendly and written without abbreviations.
You’ll find exact material details in the patterns—just click on the corresponding pictures.

The “Noah’s Ark” door wreath is a very varied crochet project and a wonderful, very special gift for a birth or baptism. The bright colors and the many different animals are sure to catch a child’s eye time and time again. When the child is older, you can tell them the story of Noah and the rescue of the animals, thereby instilling in them a sense of trust in God’s protection and love.

The door wreath and the animals are crocheted using cotton yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr). A 25-cm-diameter Styrofoam wreath serves as the base. The pattern is very detailed and includes many pictures. Using the descriptions of the animals, you can also crochet cute animal keychains later on.

The tissue box with butterflies and hearts has already made many users happy. It is very easy to crochet—even for beginners with crochet experience—and is always well received as a gift. Leftover yarn can be used up very prettily here.

Tip for the environmentally conscious: Just place it on the dining table—it’s a great replacement for napkins.

For anyone who loves Bavaria and the Alpine region, these “Oktoberfest”-themed crochet appliqués are simply a must-have!

Plus, they’re a wonderful way to use up small amounts of leftover yarn that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to put to good use. The appliqués are incredibly easy to crochet and can be used in many different ways: as refrigerator magnets, pins, table decorations, on invitation and greeting cards, gift tags, embellishments on belts and clothing, and so much more...

No more burnt fingers!
With these pretty potholders, burnt fingers are a thing of the past, because they are crocheted from cotton with double strands.
They feel soft and grippy in your hand and are a real eye-catcher in any kitchen.

Cardigan

How about a pretty cardigan for your Barbie doll? This one is knitted using just a few grams of sock yarn and size 2 needles. It’s also a great way to use up leftover yarn. I also recommend this pattern for beginner knitters who already know how to knit with a set of double-pointed needles or want to learn. I explain and demonstrate everything in great detail.

You can knit the cardigan to any length you like. So you could even make a knitted coat. For more pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the title.

I wish you every success with this knitting project - Ina

Hanging Storage Basket

This is something lovely for all little girls. You can store all your little treasures in this hanging storage basket. There are 6 pockets for storing combs, hair ties, barrettes, etc. And you can also pin or clip things onto the thick, soft cotton yarn.

You could even give it as a gift already filled and decorated. The little girl can then explore everything to her heart’s content and later fill it with her own treasures. I, for one, would love something like this. It’s also very decorative and can be hung anywhere using the hanger.

I hope you enjoy this crochet project, which is also perfect for beginners. I’ll explain and show you everything in detail. Oh, and the pattern for the crocheted flower is included, too.

Warm regards—Yours, Ina

Summer Hat "Emily"

Spring is here, and with it comes the sun, shining ever more brightly. That means a pretty sun hat is needed on a child’s head. With this crochet pattern, you’ll receive a 16-page explanatory and illustrated step-by-step pattern for making this summer hat for little girls (head circumference 48–52 cm).

The pattern is suitable for crochet beginners. We’ll crochet chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. For the hat, you only need 100 g BINGO Linie 163 cotton yarn, colorful yarn scraps for the crocheted flower, a ribbon to thread through if you like, and size 3 and 4 crochet hooks. You can crochet the flower—or you can leave it out and thread in a colorful ribbon as decoration instead.

You’ll find more information and the pattern by clicking on the heading.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project—yours, Ina

Colorful Easter EggsColorful Easter Eggs - a small and lovely touch for Easter. The simple Bruges lace crochet technique creates beautiful
spring freshness. An excellent window or door decoration for Easter, or
even as a small gift! The Easter egg measures approx. 7 x 9 cm plus a loop of approx. 7 cm. Very little yarn is needed to make one Easter egg,
which is why these can be crocheted from yarn scraps. An ideal way to use up yarn scraps!

Over 100 people agree:
The Hippo Heat Pad Cover is adorably cute and so versatile!
I originally designed the cover for grain pillows and as a comforter, but you can also stash lots of other things inside the cute hippo’s belly. This means you can use it as gift wrapping, a hiding spot for little secrets, storage for jewelry or other accessories, and more.
Thanks to the detailed written pattern with plenty of helpful pictures, even ambitious beginners can easily succeed.

The motifs in this cute decorative garland can be combined in any way you like. You can also crochet a garland using only hearts or only flowers, for example.

This decorative garland with bunnies, hearts, and/or flowers can be used for many purposes, e.g. as a table decoration for Easter breakfast, a window decoration, a decoration for Easter branches or a door wreath, a garland, a necklace, etc.

The garland is crocheted in one go, works up super fast, and you only need a few scraps of leftover yarn.

Children, in particular, receive lots of gifts at Easter, and these presents should, of course, be beautifully wrapped. This bag is just right for that!

The gift bag is made of cardstock, measures approximately 22 x 20 x 13 cm, and is quick and easy to make, even for beginners. When assembling the bunnies, be sure to follow the instructions; that way, everything will work out perfectly the first time, with no hassle.
