Knit Hat and Cowl Set, basket weave design, easy beginner knit, unisex

This is the easiest knit hat and cowl pattern tutorial you will ever make. I wrote this pattern especially for new knitters. If you have never used a circular or double-pointed needle this pattern will definitely let you up your game.

I used the basket weave stitch and loved how it came out using the Scarfie. If you are in a colder climate you can use 100% wool yarn as that will make your set much warmer!

Both hat and cowl are knitted on the right side and entirely in the round from start to finish with no visible seams and nothing to stitch.

I used: 1 ball Lion Brand Yarns Scarfie #5 Bulky - Colour: Cranberry/Black, 78% Acrylic, 22% Wool, 10.5 oz. / 150 g, 312 yds, 285 m
any #5 bulky weight yarn in this yardage or meters will work
