Shell Stitch Pocket Scarf - PA-328

Create a warm and wonderful winter accessory in a chunky yarn. The yarn used for this design is a unique self-striping ombre that gradually shades from one color to the next. However, the scarf would be just as fabulous in a solid color or other multi-color yarn.
In a hurry, or have a time crunch? This is a quick and easy pattern stitched up in a wonderful chunky yarn. So simple to make, just crochet the scarf in two pieces and seam the center back. Crochet two pockets and join them to the scarf as you crochet the border.
Crocheted buttons add a boutique look and work very well crocheted in this chunky yarn. However, purchased buttons would be just as wonderful depending on your style.

Skill level: Intermediate.

Size: Adult woman - one size fits most. Approximately 8" wide and 55" in length.
Note: A longer scarf is easily crocheted as the pattern is just a two row repeat.

Materials: Yarn: "Scarfie" (a chunky/bulky weight or size 5 yarn) from Lion Brand Yarns.
Since gauge is not crucial for this project, you can use almost any chunky or size 5 weight yarn.
Tools: U.S. sizes J and K crochet hooks.
