This pattern does not contain crochet lessons. You must have basic crochet skills to make this toy. Skill level: beginner+.

A height of my Small Pencil is 6cm/2.36inch, the height of my Big Pencil is 10cm/3.94inch. The sizes depend on the choice of yarn/thread, crochet hook and your density of crocheting. You are welcome to use any yarn/thread and crochet hook to make these toys (in this case your toys will turn out bigger or smaller).

Basic tools you will need:

1. Steel crochet hooks I used: 1.00mm (US 6) for a Lace weight thread and 2.00mm for DK weight yarn.
2. Lace weight thread, Red Heart Pearl Cotton (thin cotton mercerized, DMC), 1ply, 10g/80m (0.35oz/87yds) for the Small Pencil and acrylic DK weight yarn, Red Heart Lisa, 1.8oz/145yds (50g/133m) for the Big Pencil.
3. Polyester toy filling – fiberfill.
4. Big black beads as eyes for the Big Pencil, small black beads as eyes for the Small pencil.
