Jute hamster house - Jute-Hamsterhaus

I would like to introduce to you a crochet pattern for a cute hamster house, shaped like an acorn and decorated with rainbow flower (or without it if you wish).
This pattern is well-suited for creating a house for any type of hamster. When choosing a thicker yarn and an appropriate hook, you will automatically get a larger house for your pet.

Skills: pattern is written for beginner crocheters. You will need to know how to use a magic circle, single crochet, double crochet and how to increase and decrease.

The finished size of the house will be approximately 5’’ x 5’’, assuming you use the recommended yarn and hook size provided here.

Materials for acorn-house

Approximately 100 yards Natural Jute 1.5mm twine
Cotton yarn (like Charm from Vita) – you can choose acrylic because the hamster might chew on the cotton thread, but of course, cotton is more pleasant and breathable: Meterage: 116 yards(106 meters) Unit weight: 50 grams (1.76 ounces) you will need green color
Steel hook UK12 (2.50 mm) / US C/2
