The Crochet Pattern (pdf file) is in English (US terms), very detailed, very clear instructions and tips with lots of photos for each step.

Size - about 27 cm/11 inch tall, I used a yarn of ~174 yards/160 m = 1,76 oz/50 g and a 3 mm crochet hook.
(but the doll can be made of different types of yarn, but it is important to choose the appropriate ratio of thickness of yarn and hook size)

Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker, pins
6 mm plastic eyes.
