Crochet Bucket Hat PATTERN, camouflage or stripe, easy beginner

There is never a reason not to crochet a bucket hat. I made this one just for fun. I love working in camo. I picked up this yarn randomly with nothing in mind but realized I could easily make ANOTHER bucket hat pattern. In December 2024 I revised this pattern and added a stripe bucket hat pattern.

One tip I will share when making bucket hats you should always look for a stiffer yarn as it makes the fit better and the brim will look nicer with a slight bend or straight out.

Regular size hat made to fit: up to 24 inches / 60.96 cm head circumference

Length of hat with brim: 9 inches / 22.86 cm

I used: 1 ball Lizzy Ann Collection Value Brand yarn in Camo #3 acrylic approx 380 yds / 347 m
(any #3 DK weight yarn can be used) and scrap yarn from my stash for the stripe hat.
