Pattern Fingerless gloves with braid

Just about anyone can use them and they are always the perfect gift for a best friend, daughter, granddaughter or yourself: well-fitting hand warmers that look chic, and are practical.

The attractive braid pattern on the back of the hand attracts admiring glances. The elastic cuff automatically adjusts to fit any wrist. The thumb is well worked out and offers enough space and freedom of movement. The hand and the pulse are reliably warmed, only the fingertips peek out and give us the necessary fingertip feeling for everyday life. The annoying donning and doffing of gloves is no longer necessary.

The hand warmers can be knitted even by knitting beginners. I explain and show you everything in detail on 12 pages. For the professionals among you is also a graphic for the cable pattern attached. You can knit the cuffs in 2 sizes (S/M normal ladies hand size or L/XL for large hands).

You can choose any yarn you like: easy-care acrylic yarn, silky-glossy merino wool, cuddly-soft alpaca wool or a ball of your favorite wool from your scraps basket. Anything you like and that matches the stitch sample can be knitted! For all my examples I have indicated the knitted yarns.

Material:

• 2 ounces (50g) for size S/M (2,1 ounces (60g) for size L/XL) ‘Omega‘ from Lang Yarns (DK (11 wpi), color as you like) or another yarn with same gauge result
• 1 needle set (5 double pointed needles) with size US: 2,5; UK: 11; EU:3mm, 6-8 inches long
• darning needle, ruler, scissors, 1 safety pin*
