A crochet pattern for a Starburst Beret that starts in the center with a "starburst" and continues the shaping with mostly double crochet stitches. A tie is threaded through the eyelet round to stabilize the beret and to adjust for fit.

Materials: Yarn: The beret shown in the photographs is crocheted in Perfection Sport (a sports weight or size 2 yarn) from Kraemer Yarns. You can use almost any sports weight yarn that will produce a gauge of 5 sts and 3 rnds in double crochet (dc). Approximately 300 yards will be needed to complete this lovely beret.
Tools: U.S. size G crochet hook.
