Losse Market Bag

I love reusable bags, I usually take some anywhere when I’m out in town for shopping! That’s why I created this colorful market bag.

I used thistle stitch to create those beautifully textured parts which give some extra touch to the final product!

I used Alize Cotton Gold Batik in Color: 4530 and Paintbox Yarns cotton DK in Dusty rose colorway. It is a very vibrant colour choice and those colors easily brighten up a gloomy day. :)

It is an easy pattern but a bit more advanced because of the special thistle stitch used.

Written in US terms only.

Gauge: 5 half double crochets and 2.5 rows = approx. 1 inch

Difficulty: Advaced beginner/Intermediate
To make this pattern, you need to know:

• magic ring
• chain
• single crochet
• crochet in the 3rd loop only of half double crochet
• half double crochet
• double crochet

The body of the bag is 13.5”/34 cm tall without handle, 22.5”/57 cm with handle
and
11”/28 cm wide

• 4 mm (G) size Hook
• approx. 130 grams (430 meters/470 yards) of 100% cotton DK yarn or cotton DK blend (I used Alize Cotton Gold Batik in Color: 4530 and Paintbox Yarns cotton DK in Dusty rose colorway)
• If you use 2 colours as I did, you will need: 95 grams (314 meters/343 yards) of Colour 1 and 35 grams (116 meters/127 yards) of Colour 2
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
