Triangle Shawl crochet pattern "Paean"

Produktbeschreibung

"Paean" is a crochet shawl pattern using fingering weight sock yarn. It is a shawl in triangle shape with a lace pattern and a ruffled border, charming, a bit old-fashioned and with a vintage touch to it. A beautiful accessory for women, lightweight and airy. The pattern is not difficult, but you need to be familiar with basic shawl construction. It is a written pattern that uses American crochet terms. A schematic is included, but no charts.

The sample shown in the pictures was made out of Lana Grossa Meilenweit Tweed, quite an ordinary tweedy sock yarn that is available in my part of the world. Not sure if it's available anywhere else, but similar yarns certainly exist in other parts of the world as well. After all, the pattern works in any kind of yarn, it needs not be a fingering.

The pattern has been tested by several people who used a variety of yarns. from fingering to aran, cotton yarns, wool and acrylic. All of them showed beautiful results.

If you purchase the pattern, start crocheting and (which I don't hope) get to a point where you don't know how to go on, my contact info is in the pattern. I am always happy to help. Please bear in mind that I sometimes need to sleep and don't spend all day on the internet. But I check my mails every day.

Please read below for more pattern details.

It was my grandmother who taught me to crochet. That was a long time ago. As a little girl I was impressed by her, she had a hook in her hand each time I went to visit her. Her house was filled with doilies, crocheted tablecloths and bedspreads, she used to wear crocheted collars, sweaters and shawls, and also we children profited by her art in the form of crocheted garments. My grandmother is long since gone. This is dedicated to her – for waking a passion in me.

Paean is a triangle shawl worked from the top to the bottom in a fingering sock yarn. It is an easy lacy pattern that will result in a beautiful and a bit old-fashioned shawl. You can of course use any other yarn as well, it needs not be a fingering.

This is a written pattern and uses American crochet terms.

okay
