The shawl is worked on the bias in a rib and cable pattern. An intarsia stripe separates the cabled border from the shawl body.
It can be worked in a variety of yarns and to any desired size.

Yarn: Knit Picks Bare Hare (80% merino wool, 20% angora; 200m/50g; 219yds/1.76oz); 3 skeins. Lana Grossa Meilenweit Special (80% wool, 20% nylon; 209m/50g; 229yds/1.76oz); 1 ball. Sample in a length of 135cm (54in) and 50cm (20in) at its widest point used 456m (499yds) of main color (Bare Hare) and 34m (37yds) of contrast color (Meilenweit Special).
Needles: 3.5mm/US 4
Notions: cable needle, yarn needle
Gauge: 26 stitches/36 rows in ribs = 10cm/4in.
