Lace and textured shawl knitting pattern

Produktbeschreibung

A knitting pattern for a lace shawl that can be worked in fingering yarn or worsted weight (or anything in between). The pattern includes written instructions to knit this triangle shawl, but also charts are included. It is an easy knit that will result in a beautiful ladies accessory. Wear it as a shoulder wrap or as a triangular scarf around your neck, just as you like.

There are two samples shown in the pictures. The one in blue was made out of a worsted weight merino wool yarn, the other one in green was made using fingering weight sock yarn. The basic pattern for both is the same, although the green one has some additional stockinette stitch sections. Both versions are explained in the pattern, both versions are written and charted.

The pattern has been tested by several people to make sure that the instructions work as written. Testers used a variety of yarns from fingering to aran weight. All of them showed beautiful results.

If you purchase the pattern, start knitting and (which I don't hope) get to a point where you don't know how to go on, my contact info is in the pattern. I am always happy to help. Please bear in mind that I sometimes need to sleep and don't spend all day on the internet. But I check my mails every day.

Please read below for more pattern details.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My innocent pleasure happened during the hot days of summer out of a worsted wool yarn. Maybe you can imagine that there was not much use for it at that time. It had to be done though, as it was so much fun to knit. Thus the name. No harm done.

There are two versions: One that uses only a textured and lace pattern (shown in blue and worsted weight yarn), the second one has some stockinette parts in between (shown in green and fingering weight yarn). It can be worked to any size that you like, it can be worked in any yarn that you like, and gauge is not important at all. The one listed in the description is the one I got in my worsted yarn.

The pattern is both written and charted.

Difficulty level: advanced beginner (knit and purl, easy lace stitches)

Yarn: Austermann Merino 105 (100% merino wool; 105m/50g; 115yds/1.76oz); 4 balls. Sample in blue used 367m/412yds.
The sample in green used 495m (541yds) of fingering weight sock yarn.

Needles: 5mm/US 8 circular needles. If using fingering weight yarn: 3.5mm/US 4.

Notions: 2 stitch markers (optional), yarn needle

Gauge: 13 stitches/18 rows in stitch pattern and worsted weight yarn = 10cm/4in.

Size: 140x55cm (56x22in). This is just a suggestion, the shawl can be worked to any size.

okay
