Scarf Knitting Pattern in V-shape "Veee"

It is all about shape and color.

The scarf is made out of fingering sock yarn in two colors. There are no purl stitches involved, basically it is a garter stitch scarf with striped and solid areas which gains interest through the intarsia that forms a “V”. In addition also the shape of the finished scarf reminds of an elongated “V”, formed by increases and decreases on both sides and mirrored after the center.

It is not a difficult pattern. To say it in the words of one of my testers, it is a pattern that needs attention.

Difficulty level: advanced beginner (mostly garter stitch, increases, decreases, changing colors during rows)

Yarn: Rapallo Super Sport Strumpf (45% cotton, 40% wool, 15% nylon; 380m/100g; 416yds/3.53oz), 1 ball; Four Seasons Gründl Hot Socks Print (75% wool, 25% nylon; 210m/50g; 230yds/1.76oz), 2 balls. Sample used 380m/416yds of main color and 231m/253yds of contrast color. Any fingering weight yarn will work for the pattern.

Needles: 3mm/US 2 1/2

Notions: yarn needle, 1 stitch marker

Gauge: 28 stitches/36 rows in garter stitch = 10cm/4in
