The pattern is written in English, using American crochet terminology, and includes US/UK conversion charts for both stitches and hook sizes.
It is full of hints, tips and photos that help you along the way.
For beginners instructions of basic crochet stitches are provided.

The head and body are crocheted as a single piece, starting from the head and working down to the body. All other parts are sewn on separately.
The shorts are made using the tapestry crochet technique which is explained in the pattern.

Difficulty Level: intermediate
Skills required are sl st, sc,sc BLO, increase/decrease sts and tapestry crochet technique for the shorts.

Finished Size: if done with Cotton Fingering yarn, 2.5mm hook, it is 24.5 cm (9.6”) high w/o ears and 8 cm (3.1”) wide w/o arms. This may vary depending on the yarn and hook size you decide to use.

Cotton Fingering / 4 ply. Usage based on 1 Ball = 50g/1.75oz - 155m/170y.
Bear: 62g (2.2oz) beige and 5g (0.2oz) cream
Shorts: 6g (0.2oz) light green, 3g (0.1oz) yellow, small quantity of light blue and dark green
Nose, mouth and eyebrows: small quantity of black and white embroidery floss
15mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
2.5mm crochet hook (US B/1 – C/2)
