The Blossom Tree Tea Cosy is a joyful spring design full of texture and detail. The grassy mound is worked corner to corner in loopy stitch, giving the cosy a lively, natural base. The tree trunk and branches are shaped with 4 mm clear boning so the cosy stands tall, and the blossoms are knitted individually and sewn on with citron yarn to create the stamens. The result is a bright, blooming tree that looks ready for spring, Easter or blossom festivals.
Designed by Suzy Cowper of TeaCosyFolk, an experienced knitting pattern designer who has been shaping imaginative tea cosies since 2015.
The cosy fits a medium teapot of 6 to 8 cups and is knitted in Stylecraft Special DK using double thickness yarn for warmth. The pattern is written out clearly over six pages with no charts.
This product is the knitting pattern only. After purchase, the digital file will be available immediately so you can begin your project without delay.
The pattern is a 6 page knitting pattern written in English - no charts.
You need to knit the main part in loopy stitch, but the pattern includes a url to a youtube tutorial showing you how to knit loopy stitch on a wrong side row.
