I used the translated version in English and if I had not been an experienced knitter, I think it would have been much more difficult to complete. I used an acrylic blend yarn and may have wanted to use a smaller weight yarn as they came out very large. Since these were a gift for unborn babies, I had no gauge. Gauge was not included in pattern. I enjoyed the outcome but unsure they will fit. Here is a picture of two pair before I completed assembly. My crochet stitching is no good so I made a machine embroidered substitution.
