Holy Family, Star of Bethlehem, ox, donkey
A great project is creating a nativity scene. As you crochet the figures for a nativity scene, you’ll really get into the Christmas spirit! Don’t worry—you can still finish this by Christmas!

The nativity figures aren’t hard to crochet, and you can let your creativity run wild. Use up the leftover yarn that isn’t enough for bigger projects.

Don’t put pressure on yourself! Start with just a few figures: the Holy Family, then maybe a shepherd with a sheep, and so on. If you have enough time, you can also crochet the Three Wise Men from the East with their animals. And then maybe even more shepherds and sheep... That way, your nativity scene will keep growing. If you don’t manage to finish all the figures by Christmas, that’s perfectly fine. You can keep crocheting during the holidays or throughout the year, whenever you feel like it.

In my shop, you’ll find 3 patterns that let you crochet all the figures for a complete nativity scene:
Holy Family, Star of Bethlehem, ox, donkey

3 Shepherds, 2 Sheep, Angel

Three Wise Men, Camel, Elephant, Horse
I hope you have a lot of fun working on this!

Reindeer Egg Cup Crochet Pattern

Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

This cute and funny reindeer couple brightens up any breakfast table and puts a smile on your face first thing in the morning ;-). The egg cups are real eye-catchers and also make great gifts! What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20g of brown yarn suitable for a 2mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Scraps of light brown yarn (for the antlers), also suitable for a 2mm hook
  • Scraps of red yarn (for the nose), also suitable for a 2mm hook
  • 2mm crochet hook
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
Difficulty level: Easy. You should be familiar with the following techniques: making a magic ring, increasing and decreasing single crochet stitches, sewing the different pieces together, single crochet, slip stitches, chain stitches, and half double crochet. The crochet pattern is 18 pages long and includes step-by-step photos showing every step. I also show you how to sew the pieces together in the photos.

If you get started right away, you’ll still be able to finish making this Advent calendar in time. Admittedly, the assembly is a bit tricky, but making the individual compartments takes very little time. So it’s definitely doable!

The calendar is made of photo cardstock, measures approximately 12.5 x 12.5 x 12.5 cm, and is easy to make with a little crafting experience and good spatial awareness.

Are you still looking for a few little things to fill your Advent calendar?

The St. Nicholas, reindeer, and snowman finger puppets are a very special surprise! If you’d like, you can also slip gift vouchers into the finger sleeves. These little puppets can be crocheted in no time from a bit of leftover yarn and help pass the time until Christmas Eve.

What would Christmas be without angels? Here, you can even crochet an entire orchestra of heavenly musicians. You can give them away individually

as guardian angels or bag charms.

With the star pixies, you can bring joy in many different ways: individually as a pincushion for a friend who loves to sew, for a baby as a rattle or squeaky toy, or strung together as a colorful star garland. For one star pixie, you only need about 20 g of yarn.

Christmas tree ornaments are wonderful to crochet yourself. Depending on the style of your Christmas tree, you can crochet them to be sparkly, colorful, solid-colored, or even rustic using packing twine. In the pattern, you’ll find descriptions for 4 different ornaments: a bell, an angel, a star, and a snowflake.

An exceptionally beautiful cover for a poinsettia, and it’s also very easy and quick to crochet from leftover yarn. Add a few stars as decoration or tree ornaments.

With this, you’ll have another lovely Christmas gift ready. Just start right away so it will be finished—maybe even in time for St. Nicholas Day.

By the way, here’s an idea for St. Nicholas Day: Try placing a flowerpot with this cover in front of the door. It holds quite a lot—as a surprise for the whole family. :)

For this dainty, feminine version of the St. Nicholas boot you luckily still have a little time, but you still shouldn’t put it off too long and should start crafting as soon as possible.

The boot is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 19 x 22 x 7.5 cm. With a little crafting experience, it’s easy to make and works both with and without a crepe paper top.

In the run-up to Christmas, you can never have enough gift wrapping, because that’s when people especially enjoy giving lots of gifts. And of course, every gift needs the right wrapping. This little Christmas tree, for example, is especially well suited for small but precious gifts.

The little tree is made of cardstock, measures about 16 x 22 cm, and is easy to make for
craft beginners with a bit of experience.

These roomy St. Nicholas boots can hold quite a bit, so it’s best to start crafting them right away and put them out in time for filling!

And if you want to play St. Nicholas yourself, you can also use this boot as a gift container—there are handy cord handles for that. The boot is made of cardstock and measures approximately 18.5 x 21 x 9 cm. With a little crafting experience, it’s quick and easy to make.
